Biography

Pianist · Composer · Educator

Stanislav Arabadjiev is a jazz pianist, composer and educator based in Sofia. After graduating from the National Academy of Music "Prof. Pancho Vladigerov" with a major in jazz piano, he has built an active career as a performer, composer and teacher both in Bulgaria and abroad.

He has appeared at leading Bulgarian festivals — A to Jazz, Bansko Jazz Festival, Plovdiv Jazz Fest, Apollonia, Jazz Forum Stara Zagora, Haskovo Jazz and Perelik Jazz Festival — as well as Tirana Jazz Fest and Balkan Teater Tirana Fest (Albania), Swing Steps Bucharest and Dive & Blossom (Romania), Swinging the Bay Festival (Greece), Jazz à Tinteniac (France) and Bosphorus Swing Festival (Turkey). His playing is regularly featured in concerts and productions broadcast on Bulgarian National Television. He is currently working on his debut album In the Clouds, a collection of original compositions written over recent years.

Further training

Learning is a continuous process, and since graduating Stanislav has regularly taken part in masterclasses with artists such as Aaron Goldberg, Francisco Mela, Don Braden, Conrad Herwig, Dena DeRose, Bobby McFerrin, Konstantin Kostov and Taylor Eigsti.
